I ordered this one and the Complete Guide to Costa Rica. This one was light enough to carry in my backpack during my entire trip to Costa Rica. The other book was way too heavy and I was mad at myself every time for bringing it along.A lot of tips in here regarding restaurants and attractions. The maps were pretty good which was my main reason for getting it.
If you like to explore before you go explore this is a good tool.

I've just received the guidebook, but I'm already impressed. The layout is very attractive, with lots of color photos, maps and mini-guides throughout.
